How can I be used to glorify God and equip others to live for His glory at Mount Vernon?

About Mount Vernon Baptist Church

Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Vale, NC was founded in 1840. Our mission is to faithfully preach, teach, and follow the Bible as our ultimate authority, laboring for the souls of all people and striving for spiritual maturity in obedience to Christ. Whether you are 2 or 82, we want to equip you to live for the glory of God by growing in the faith, evangelizing to others, and discipling fellow believers. We are a Christ-centered community that values Biblical preaching, Christ-centered worship, and spiritual development from childhood through adulthood. Currently our congregation has roughly 250+ people on a given Sunday. We have 2 services each Sunday 9AM & 11AM with Sunday School at 10AM. We also recently started a few Life Groups (small group Bible studies / fellowships) that meet weekly in homes around the community.

Mount Vernon Baptist Church has recently entered a season of growth and renewed vision, seeking to strengthen its ministries and reaching the surrounding community with the gospel. Over the past few years, we have seen an exponential rise in not only numerical growth, but also spiritual growth. This year, we have baptized 9 people and 18 new church members. Needless to say, our church is in a season of growth and change and with it, we need strong spiritual leaders who are looking for somewhere to plant roots, be invested long-term, and have a heart for discipling and equipping believers to live for the glory of God.
